I first met Deep Bhatia way back in 1998 in Chandigarh. I found him to be a humble and sincere person dedicated to Photography. Soon we became friends and as time passed by it continued to grow stronger. Over the years, he made experimentations with various facets of Photographic Art like Portraiture, Tabletop Still Life, Water Droplet and Conceptual Photography. The best part of his experimentations is that he created beautiful Images in each of these Genres and was bestowed with huge number of Medals and other Awards from various Salons. Recognising his talent, the Federation of Indian Photography invited him to conduct a Workshop on “Water Droplet Photography” in its National Convention at Digha in 2022. During this Workshop Deep Bhatia made a live show of how beautiful Images can be created with Water Droplets. Though the technique is a bit complicated but Mr. Bhatia explained it in very simple words and let some of the Delegates take some Droplet Images through his Set-up. His programme was a great success with loud cheers from the huge number of FIP Delegates. Deep Bhatia has also studied and mastered the techniques of Photoshop and successfully teaches his students not only from far corners of our Country but also from many other Countries abroad. The students happily join his Online classes on Portraiture, Tabletop Still Life, Water Droplet, Conceptual Photography and the Image processing on Photoshop CC. Once Mr. Bhatia invited me to attend his Online Class on Image processing in Raw as an Observer. It was a very lively inter-active Session with about a dozen students. And I found that some of the RAW processing techniques that he was explaining in very simple words, were ‘not known’ to me. I am happy to say that I learnt some new techniques in his Class and wish him great success.
